Granger Fire & Rescue Personnel:

John Hadam has been Granger Township Fire & Rescue Chief since 1990 succeeding Richard Alber. John joined the department in 1985. He had a short leave of absence from July to October 1999 due to a family member's illness.

John Ginley
has been appointed Assistant Chief effective November 1, 1999. John joined the department in October of 1989. We very much appreciate his willingness to serve the community by stepping into the post of "Acting Chief" during John Hadam's leave of absence in 1999.

Keith Mercek
has been appointed Assistant Chief effective January 1, 2007. He joined the Department in August of 2003.

In order to have better coverage during the day in October of 1997 the trustees hired Charles McCown to work 16 hours a week as a Paramedic, Fire Inspector, and do some in-house training. In May of 98 his hours were increased to 24 a week. Mr. McCown was promoted to Lieutenant Sept. '02.

In May of 1999 the Trustees hired Lt. Sherri Kedzior, a Fire Department member since Sept. 94, for Paramedic day time duties - 8 hours a week at the Fire Station and 8 hours a week at home -on- call. The funding for Sherri's additional duties is coming from the ambulance fees paid by non-residents. On November 13th Trustees changed Sherri's hours to two 8 hour days a week on-call at the Fire Station. Ms. Kedzior was promoted to Captain Sept. '02.

Robert Dalziel was also promoted to Captain in September, 2002.
