CEMETERY DRIVE: The drive in Fairview Cemetery will be repaired with hot mix this year. Cost will be
$15, 750.00.
TELEPHONES: The Township Administration Building and Fire Station telephone systems was recently switched over to Time Warner with more benefits and less cost.
FIRE DEPT. MEMBER RETIRING: A long-time member of the Granger Fire Department retired on March 31st. Grace Sieminski has been serving this community for 26 1/2 years. She has our profound appreciation and best wishes for the future.
BASEBALL FIELD REPAIRS: Trustees voted to spend $2626.00 for infield mix for the Baseball Field.
ZONING APPEALS BOARD MEETING ON MAY 27TH will include a Variance Request by Alan Preis of Bambeck Road for shed placement.
ROAD SALT: This year the township voted to become part of ODOT's road salt bid for the 2008-2009 winter season in an attempt to help with road salt costs.
For the 2007-2008 Winter Season the township used 1,233.64 tons of road salt at a cost of $46,550.42. The snowplowing and salting costs were $80,858.75, which included a fuel surcharge of $4,950.00.
ZONING MAP FEE INCREASE: A copy of the Zoning Map in color was increased to $2.00 to cover the cost of copying the map.
ROAD WORK FOR 2008: Trustees have requested the Medina County Engineer prepare the specifications and bid documents for Granger Township's 2008 Road Work. After the specifications are prepared the road work will go out for bid. After the bids are received and costs reviewed the Trustees will then made a decision as to which roads will be able to be done.
SELLING BY INTERNET AUCTION: One of the options open to Townships now is to sell unwanted, obsolete or unneeded personal property, equipment, and motor vehicles on the internet. The Trustees have set the procedure in place.
CABLE
TV POSTING POLICY: Based on an opinion from the Medina Co. Prosecutor's Office
with First Amendment Concerns The Trustees adopted a cable TV posting policy as
follows: that Granger Township limit programming and announcements to local government
notices or local government sponsored activities on the township cable TV station.
MINOR
SUBDIVISION AND LOT SPLITS APPROVAL: Signatures approving minor subdivisions and
lot splits will be valid for 60 days from the date of signing effective Jan. 1,
2003. Prior to that date there was no deadline to the signature approvals.

ADULTS INFORMATION: Lodi Hospital offers a Respite Care Program. For more information
call 330/948-1222. The Office for Older Adults continues to offer free meals to
home bound seniors - call 330/723-9514. A $3.00 lunch is available at the OOA
center on Wednesday and Fridays for seniors. Any senior not receiving the Helping
Hands Newspaper, please call 330/723-9514. If you would like more information
