Financial Status:

Your property tax dollars are divided among the schools, Achievement Center, Co. Park and Library, Twp., and Co. Expenses. The Co. Expenses include Auditor's fees, election expenses, delinquent advertising costs, Health Levy, Achievement Center, and all other mandated deductions.

In Granger Township voters are taxed at different rates depending whether they are in Highland or Medina School Districts. Taxes are also broken down a little differently for residential, commercial, agriculture and personal property.

In general however the number of dollars levied on each $1,000.00 of residential property valuation in 2006 is divided as follows:

  • Motor Vehicle License Permissive - Township's share of County's additional $5.00 tax on License Plates

  • Cemetery Lots and Burials
  • Ambulance Fees for non-residents
  • In 1999 we also received local support road funds from the County Engineer
